Mitsuo Senda was a Japanese voice actor born on March 1, 1940. He was originally from Hokkaido. He passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 82 due to ischemic heart failure. At the time of his death, he was affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce, which he joined on May 1, 2005. Prior to that, he worked for several other agencies, including Tsuchi no Kai, N.A.C, Doujinsha Production, as a freelancer, and Production Baobab. He was known for his baritone voice.
Senda's career spanned several decades and included numerous roles in television animation. One of his notable later roles was as Sai Taku in the anime series Kingdom. He also voiced Grandpa Niko in the film The Adventures of Tyrano Boy. Other significant anime roles included Yoneo Yamada in Ojamanga Yamada-kun, Jeff in Giant Gorg, Smiley in Sherlock Hound, the Great Toad Sage in Naruto Shippūden, and Shadow in Usagi-chan de Cue!!.
