Kaaya Date is a Japanese voice actress and performer known for her debut lead role in the Aikatsu! idol franchise. Her career is closely associated with this series, where she performed as both a live-action actress and a voice actor.

Date was a member of the idol group Iginari Tohoku San when she was cast as the lead in the franchise's first hybrid live-action and anime television project, Aikatsu! Planet. This series, which aired from January to June 2021, blended live-action footage for everyday school life with animation and 3D CG for the virtual world of Aikatsu Planet. In this project, Date played the role of Mao Otoha, an ordinary high school student who secretly becomes the top virtual idol, Hana. Her performance required her to appear in the live-action segments as Mao and provide the voice for her character's animated avatar, Hana, in the virtual world sequences.

Her sole major voice role to date is Mao Otoha and her avatar Hana in the Aikatsu! Planet television series. She reprised this dual role for the sequel film, Aikatsu! Planet The Movie, which was released in Japanese theaters on July 15, 2022. As the lead of Aikatsu! Planet, she was also part of the project's idol unit, Starry Planet, which performed theme songs for the series.
