t.o.L

Description
t.o.L is an original creator known for work in anime, functioning not as a single individual but as a collective. The unit consists of two members identified as K. and kuno, and its name is an abbreviation for trees of Life.

The collective is credited for its foundational work on the Tamala series, an independent anime franchise. t.o.L served as the original creator for the 2002 feature film Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space, taking on a comprehensive role in its production. For this film, the group was responsible for the original work, direction, screenplay, character design, and music composition. t.o.L also produced the film and performed the song Oneday for Maria, which is featured in the movie.

t.o.L continued its involvement with the franchise in the 2007 release Tamala on Parade. For this project, the collective again contributed as the original creator, drawing from the world of Tamala 2010. Members of t.o.L also handled direction, original character design, screenplay, and music for this work.

As an artistic unit, t.o.L functions as a multimedia creative entity, with its members collectively handling writing, visual design, direction, and musical composition across its projects. The group’s known body of work is centered on the Tamala franchise, establishing a consistent artistic identity tied to that series. Their significance in the industry lies in their independent, multi-hyphenated approach to anime production, with the members of t.o.L serving as the primary creative force across the writing, visual, and musical elements of their projects.
