Hikaru Miyoshi is a Japanese manga artist and character designer known for work on series that blend psychological suspense with literary adaptation. Miyoshi made a professional debut in 2009 with the manga Ultimate Dolls, a short-lived series published by Square Enix that was discontinued after a single chapter. Following this initial effort, Miyoshi collaborated with writer Gen Urobuchi on Inspector Akane Tsunemori, a manga adaptation of the cyberpunk anime Psycho-Pass that ran from 2012 to 2014 and spanned six volumes.
Miyoshi is best known as the illustrator for Moriarty the Patriot, a manga series created in collaboration with writer Ryosuke Takeuchi. The series began serialization in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine in August 2016 and reinterprets the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle from the perspective of his famed adversary, Professor James Moriarty. Set in an alternate version of Victorian London, the narrative follows Moriarty and his brothers as they target corrupt members of the nobility in an effort to dismantle the oppressive class system.
