Guilherme Barroso
Description
Guilherme Barroso is a Portuguese voice actor known for his work on the Portuguese dubbing of animated series and films. Born Guilherme Henrique de Jesus Barroso on April 16, 1986, in Cascais, Portugal, he began his artistic training in 2005. Before focusing on voice acting, Barroso built a substantial career as a stage and screen actor, performing in numerous theatre productions with various directors and appearing in Portuguese television series such as Morangos com Açúcar and Coração D’Ouro.
Barroso has been active in voice acting since 2011, providing voices for a wide array of characters in children's and animated programming. A significant part of his career involves dubbing for major international franchises. He is known for voicing characters in the Portuguese dub of the Dragon Ball franchise, specifically in the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, where he voiced the android Gamma 1, the character Carmine, and also served as the narrator. Beyond Dragon Ball, Barroso has become a regular voice for characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He has voiced Knuckles the Echidna in several projects, including the Sonic Boom television series, the films Sonic 2: O Filme and Sonic 3: O Filme, and the series Sonic Prime. His other notable voice roles include Massimo Marcovaldo in Luca and its short Ciao Alberto, Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4, the Beast in the 2017 live-action adaptation of A Bela e o Monstro, and Bigfoot in Bigfoot em Família and Bigfoot Júnior.
Barroso's extensive voice work also encompasses long-running television series. He has voiced multiple characters in the popular series Miraculous: As Aventuras de Ladybug, including Luka Couffaine, Lê Chiến Kim, and Mr. Damocles. His other television credits include roles in Nós, os Ursos, Clarence, Marvel's Spiderman, The Boys, and the Portuguese series O11ZE. His filmography demonstrates a consistent presence in the Portuguese dubbing industry, contributing to a wide range of animated content for both film and television.
