Shiori Tani is a Japanese voice actor and freelancer from Tokyo, who has lived in Matsudo, Chiba, since the age of three. Her path to voice acting began during her university entrance examinations when she started watching anime and became inspired to pursue it as a career. Upon being accepted into her first-choice university, she enrolled in classes at a vocational school to study voice acting alongside her university courses, where she also took related classes in phonetics and dialects. Tani stands 162 cm tall, and her personal interests include accumulating points to redeem rewards, collecting information on gourmet food and cosmetics, K-Pop dancing, listening to the radio, and playing video games. She possesses skills in singing, solving riddles, tennis, and has the ability to pronounce English, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese.

Tani's early career involved a variety of activities, including work as a Vtuber, participation in radio dramas and theatrical performances, live readings, and Japanese dubbing for overseas games. A significant breakthrough came when she decided to test her abilities in an audition. She chose to audition for the local anime (gotochi anime) project Chou Futsuu Toshi Matsudo Densetsu, also known as Matsudo Densetsu, drawn to its setting in her longtime hometown and the character of Kiri Hashiratani. In September 2021, she won the Grand Prix at the fully public final audition, which was livestreamed, earning her the lead role of Kiri Hashiraya in the series. She also performed the theme song for the program, which was written to reflect her character's personality.

In addition to this leading role, Tani's voice acting credits include parts in other anime series. According to available records, she portrayed the characters Leonard and Carol Family Maid in the television series 0-Saiji Start Dash Monogatari. She also provided the voice for Woman B in episode 5 of Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start With Magical Tools.
