Lily Hoshino is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, and character designer born on December 17, 1978. She began her professional career in the early 2000s, with her first known manga works appearing in July 2000. Hoshino has built a significant body of work over two decades, establishing herself as a creator known for a distinctive and extremely cute art style, which has been a hallmark of her many published manga, including a substantial number of boys' love series.
Hoshino is best known as the original creator of the manga series Otome Yōkai Zakuro, which began serialization in the monthly seinen manga magazine Comic Birz in November 2006. The series, published by Gentosha, blends supernatural and historical genres, telling the story of human lieutenants partnered with half-spirit girls to maintain harmony between humans and spirits in an alternate, Westernizing Japan.
