Maika Takai is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the agency Mausu Promotion. She was born on August 18, 1993, in Tokushima Prefecture. Her path to a voice acting career began in her hometown when she participated in a local audition for the anime Minori Scramble! in 2010, successfully landing the role of Akira. She later became a graduate of the 27th term of Mausu Promotion's attached training school and joined the agency in 2014.

Takai's career includes a range of roles in both anime and video games. In television animation, her early work included the role of Rosie Rabbit in Paboo & Mojies in 2012. She gained further recognition for her role as Yuka Komachi in the 2014 series Hanayamata, a performance that also led to her participation in the anime's insert song as part of the unit Need Cool Quality.
