Momoka Ishii

Description
Momoka Ishii is a Japanese actress and voice actor born on December 19, 2002, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She began her entertainment career as a child actor, gaining early recognition for her live-action roles. A significant breakthrough came in 2009 when she starred as the lead child character in the television drama My Girl, a performance that earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 63rd日剧学院赏 (Drama Academy Awards). Her early career also included notable roles in dramas such as 父女七日变 (Papa to Musume no Nanokakan) in 2007 and Hotaru no Hikari in the same year, among numerous other television appearances.

Ishii transitioned to voice acting with her debut role in anime, providing the voice for Zakuro Fujiwara in the 2022 reboot series Tokyo Mew Mew New. As one of the five main heroines, she voices the character of a professional model who is the fifth Mew Mew to join the team, infused with the DNA of a gray wolf. This role also involved a musical component, as she became a member of Smewthie, a voice actor idol group formed specifically for the series alongside her co-stars Yūki Tenma, Mirai Hinata, Ryōko Jūni, and Rian Toda. The group performed the opening and ending theme songs for the anime. Her work on Tokyo Mew Mew New represents her primary and most prominent credit in the field of anime voice acting to date.
