Akihiro Hori

Akihiro Hori is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor affiliated with Across Entertainment. He was born on August 24, 1991, in Fukuoka Prefecture. A graduate of the 33rd class of the Aoi Gakuen Tokyo School, he was inspired to pursue a career in voice acting by the film Pirates of the Caribbean. He holds a second-degree rank in kendo and has passed the practical English proficiency test at level pre-2.

Hori's early voice acting work included a minor role as a boy in the long-running anime series Chibi Maruko-chan. He gained more prominent recognition in 2021 with several roles, including a Goha Company employee in the series Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens. That same year, he was cast as one of the main characters in the original television anime Fairy Ranmaru ~Anata no Kokoro Otasuke Shimasu~, produced by Studio Comet. In the series, he provided the voice for Takara Utashiro, a fairy from the Kinko tribe who runs the bar where the main characters work and is responsible for their meals. He also appeared in the anime Gumma-chan and, in 2023, had a role in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead.

Beyond anime, Hori's work includes voice acting for the game Pokémon Masters EX, where he voiced a Team Aqua Grunt, and participation in various drama CDs such as Baroque Night: Voice of Baroque. He has also been active in stage performance with the comedy theatre unit Q Inc. (Q商会), appearing in several of their productions. Hori has been a regular guest on radio programs and streaming shows, including the variety program Shogun Sama no Gosan and the Fairy Ranmaru special program. Information about his career shows that he has frequently collaborated with other voice actors from the Fairy Ranmaru cast, including Shogo Sakama and Yutaka Balletta, as well as composer Kousuke Okui.
