Florine Orphelin

Florine Orphelin is a French voice actor born in 1992. She began her career in voice acting at the age of six, making her debut with additional voices in the French dub of the animated series Hey Arnold!. Her introduction to the profession came through following her older sister, Noémie Orphelin, who is also a voice actor, to recording studios.

Orphelin is primarily known for her work in the French dubbing of anime, animation, and live-action series. One of her most notable roles is providing the French voice for the protagonist Chihiro in the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away. Her other significant anime credits include the role of Mayuko Nise in the series High-Rise Invasion, Kana Sôma in Fruits Basket, Lastelle in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and Rena Kashiwagi in Romantic Killer. She also voiced a Gynoïde in the film Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.

Beyond anime, her voice work in animation is extensive. She is the French voice of Astrid in the Dragons franchise, which includes the films How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2, as well as the television series. She also voices the title character in Carmen Sandiego, Shimmer in Shimmer and Shine, and Penny Sanchez in ChalkZone.

In addition to animation, Orphelin is active in dubbing live-action television series and films. She is the French voice for Hannah Baker in 13 Reasons Why, and has also worked on series such as The Good Wife and Gilmore Girls. Her work extends to video games, where she voices the female player character in Forza Horizon 5, Onion Cookie and Rye Cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom, and Clementine in The Walking Dead: The Final Season. She has also narrated audiobooks, including the French version of 13 Reasons Why and the audio edition of the Korean tale The Store That Only Opens on Rainy Days.
