Mari Nakatsu is a Japanese voice actress and actress born on July 8, 1983, in Osaka Prefecture. Her birth name is Mariko Nakatsu, and she officially changed her stage name to Mari Nakatsu on August 8, 2014. She is affiliated with the talent agency Sun Music Production.

Her path to voice acting began in childhood. She studied classical ballet for over eight years from the age of three. At six years old, a period of illness led to her watching a significant amount of anime while recuperating in the hospital, which sparked her ambition to become a voice actress. She is a graduate of Tezukayama University.

Nakatsu's entertainment career started in the early 2000s with work in modeling and stage performances. She gained early recognition for her role as the ninja character Ayame Hanakage on the NHK Educational TV show Mite Hustle, Kiite Hustle in 2004. Her voice acting career in anime has been marked by several prominent roles. One of her most notable performances is as Nanami Aoyama in The Pet Girl of Sakurasou.
