Dames is perhaps best recognized for her live-action role as Traci Van Horn, the nasal-voiced celebrity and friend of Miley Stewart, on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. However, she has built an extensive career as a voice artist across major networks and franchises. In the context of anime, Dames contributed to the Star Wars franchise by voicing a character in the acclaimed animated anthology series Star Wars: Visions. In the 2021 episode titled Lop & Ochō, produced by Geno Studio, she provided the English voice for Ochō, the daughter of a clan leader on the planet Tao whose conflicting views on the Empire drive the episode's drama. This role places her within the intersection of Western and Japanese animation, contributing to a project that brought together top anime studios and storytellers.
