Description
Yuu Miyazaki is a Japanese voice actor from Kanagawa Prefecture, born on October 7, 1991. He is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. His interest in voice acting began in childhood, inspired by the narration of a commercial for a campaign to visit Kyoto. Despite having no initial acting experience, he pursued this path during his university years, writing and performing his own one-man shows to build confidence before entering formal training. He graduated from the Haikyo Voice Actors Studio as part of its 46th class in 2014 and joined his current agency in 2015.
Miyazaki made his professional debut in 2016 with a small role in the anime Matoi the Sacred Slayer. His first recurring role came in 2018 when he was cast as Kiel in the anime adaptation of the game 100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams. This was followed by a steady stream of supporting roles in major series, including Sachirō Hirugami in Haikyu!!, Daigo Sase in Tsurune, and a role in The Heike Story.
He has taken on leading roles in several projects. He voices Vergil in the video game Angelique Luminarise and Quartz in the anime I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss. In 2024, he voiced the male lead, Itsuomi Nagi, in the romantic anime series A Sign of Affection. His role as the Jedi Tsubaki in the Akakiri episode of the Star Wars: Visions anthology series, released in 2021, provided him with a high-profile international credit.
Beyond anime, Miyazaki has an extensive body of work in video games and dubbing. He provided the voice for KYO, part of the first male VOCALOID unit, ZOLA Project. His video game roles include Virgilio in Angelique Luminarise and roles in franchises like League of Legends. As a dub actor, he is the regular Japanese voice for South Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk, dubbing his performances in dramas such as Start-Up and Twenty-Five Twenty-One. He has also dubbed roles for other Korean productions like 100 Days My Prince and for the animated series Arcane.
