Joao Vicente is a Portuguese actor and voice actor, born in Lisbon on November 20, 1987. He trained at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, graduating with a degree in Theater with a focus on acting. Before gaining recognition for his voice work, he built a career in Portuguese television and film, appearing in telenovelas such as Quer o Destino and séries including Teorias da Conspiração and Ministério do Tempo. His on-screen film credits include Bem Bom and O Som Que Desce na Terra, and he has also performed in numerous theatre productions.

In addition to his on-screen work, Vicente has an extensive career in dubbing, lending his voice to a wide range of characters in European Portuguese. He is known for voicing the role of Ronin in the Star Wars: Visions series. Other major roles in animation include Grime in Amphibia, Hawkodile in Unikitty, One-One in Infinity Train, the Hamster in Hamster and Gretel, and Lorenzo Paguro in Luca. He has also voiced characters in the Marvel franchise, frequently portraying T'Challa, also known as the Black Panther, in series such as The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri, and What If...?. His other credits in this genre include playing Doctor Strange in What If...? and Hades in Descendants 3 and The Royal Wedding.

Beyond animation, Vicente's voice work extends to live-action dubbing and video games. He provided the Portuguese voice for Böri Khan in the 2020 film Mulan and for Captain Elendil in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
