Harusono is best recognized as the author and illustrator of the popular boys' love manga series Sasaki and Miyano. This work began serialization online via the pixiv Comic website in February 2016 and has been compiled into multiple tankōbon volumes. The story focuses on the slow-building romance between two high school boys, Miyano, a self-identified fudanshi (a male fan of boys' love fiction), and his upperclassman Sasaki. Harusono is also the creator of a successful spin-off manga titled Hirano and Kagiura, which focuses on supporting characters from the original series. This spin-off began serialization in the shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Gene in March 2019.

The creator's original works have been adapted into various forms of anime media. An anime television series adaptation of Sasaki and Miyano, produced by Studio Deen, aired from January to March 2022. A subsequent original video animation (OVA) was released in 2022, followed by an anime film, Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation Chapter (also known as Sasaki to Miyano: Sotsugyo-hen), which premiered in Japan in February 2023. The Hirano and Kagiura spin-off also received an anime film adaptation in 2023. Furthermore, Harusono provided the cover and interior illustrations for a three-volume light novel series based on Sasaki and Miyano, written by Kotoko Hachijō. Through these works, Harusono has become a significant figure in the boys' love genre, known for character-driven narratives that emphasize emotional development, mutual respect, and the nuances of first love and self-discovery.
