Tiv

Description
Tiv is a South Korean manga artist and illustrator, born in Seoul on February 25, 1981. A graduate of Korea University, she initially worked as a graphic artist for game companies, including Softmax and NCSOFT, before becoming a freelance illustrator in 2005. In 2010, she relocated to Japan, where she is based in Saitama Prefecture, and operates her own studio, Atelier Tiv artworks.

Her career spans multiple facets of the anime and manga industry. As a manga artist, she is best known as the illustrator for the series Masamune-kun's Revenge, with story by Hazuki Takeoka. The manga was serialized in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic REX from 2012 to 2018, concluding with eleven volumes. Its popularity led to an anime adaptation, with a first season in 2017 and a second, Masamune-kun's Revenge R, announced a decade after the manga's initial serialization. Tiv has also provided the artwork for other manga series, including Annyeong! -We are Peanuts-, We Are All Alive, and Komori Quintet!, the latter of which was written by novelist Hikaru Sugii, with whom she also collaborated on the manga adaptation of Sugii's light novel series The Pet Girl of Sakurasou.

In addition to her work in manga, Tiv has an extensive portfolio as an illustrator. She has contributed cover art and interior illustrations for numerous light novel series, such as Inutsuki-san, The Manga God, and the Gagaga Bunko series Day or Night, With a Villainess in Each Hand. Her skills extend to anime production, where she served as the original character designer for the television series Idol Incidents and Two Car. She has also contributed illustrations to the anime Eromanga Sensei, creating the in-universe artwork drawn by the character Sagiri Izumi.

Her artistic identity is characterized by a vibrant and colorful style with a particular focus on depicting female characters with a sense of translucence and luminosity. This aesthetic has made her a prominent figure across the multimedia landscape of the Japanese industry, with her work encompassing comics, illustrations, game art, and animation.
