Kara Eberle is an American actress best known for her role as the voice of Weiss Schnee in the animated series RWBY and its various spin-offs. Born in San Marcos, Texas on July 4, 1989, she studied Communications and Mass Media at Texas State University. Her career in animation began in 2011 when she started working at Rooster Teeth, where she held several positions including receptionist, office manager, and set designer for podcasts before moving into voice acting.
Eberle's most significant and defining role came in 2013 when she was invited by series creator Monty Oum to voice Weiss Schnee in the original web series RWBY. The role held personal significance for Eberle, as she noted the character's name is German for "Snow White," and being half-German herself, she felt a strong connection to the part. She has continued to voice the character across the main series, the chibi-style spin-off RWBY Chibi, and numerous video game adaptations including RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Smite, and RWBY: Arrowfell.
In 2022, Eberle reprised her role as Weiss for the English dub of the anime adaptation RWBY: Ice Queendom, a production by Japanese studio Shaft that retold and expanded upon the original story with a focus on Weiss's inner psyche.
