Ai Negishi is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and former idol who began her entertainment career before transitioning into voice acting. She was born on September 27, 1992, in Saitama Prefecture. Her career in the entertainment industry began in 2009 after she was scouted by her agency while in high school. Initially hesitant about becoming an idol, she was persuaded by those around her and made her debut as a member and leader of the flight attendant-themed idol group PASSPO☆. During her time with the group, which disbanded in 2018, she was active as a performer and television personality.

Following the disbandment of PASSPO☆, Negishi expanded her career into acting and voice work. Her debut as a voice actor came with the role of Dalia Matsuyama in the multimedia project D4DJ. She has voiced this character across multiple installments of the franchise, including the television series D4DJ First Mix, D4DJ All Mix, and the special D4DJ Double Mix, as well as the short-form series Pucchimiku D4DJ Petit Mix. As part of this project, she is also a member of the unit Merm4id, performing as the voice of her character in songs and live events. While the D4DJ franchise constitutes her most prominent voice acting credit to date, her broader performance career includes numerous stage plays and musical theatre productions, with notable roles in works such as Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Stage and Musical Voice: Tsuioku no Umbrella.

Negishi is known for her extensive involvement with the D4DJ project, which represents a significant recurring collaboration with the franchise's producers, Bushiroad, and its creative team, including director Mizushima Seiji. Beyond this, her work frequently involves her fellow cast members from Merm4id in both recording and live performance settings. A self-proclaimed "game otaku," she is recognized for her high level of skill in gaming, particularly in the D4DJ Groovy Mix rhythm game, where her proficiency earned her the title of Groovy Mix Queen. Her gaming expertise has also led to appearances on televised game and shogi tournaments. In recognition of her regional ties, she has served as a tourism ambassador for her hometown, Moroyama, since 2015.
