Daisuke Suzuki is a Japanese author best known as the creator of the light novel series that served as the source material for the anime Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun and the manga Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankei Nai yo ne.

Suzuki made his professional debut as a writer by winning an honorable mention in the 16th Fujimi Fantasia Long Novel Contest with the work that would become Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun. This romantic comedy light novel series, featuring illustrations by Kyōrin Takanae, was published by Fujimi Shobo under its Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. The main series ran for ten volumes from September 2004 to September 2008, accompanied by seven short story volumes released between January 2006 and January 2009. The success of the light novels led to a manga adaptation illustrated by Haiji Suzuro and Reiji Hamada, which was serialized in Monthly Dragon Age from 2007 to 2008 and compiled into four volumes. An anime television series adaptation produced by AIC Spirits aired in Japan from October to December 2007.

Following this debut, Suzuki went on to write another notable series, Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankei Nai yo ne, also known in English as I Don't Have Many Friends. This romantic comedy light novel series was published by MF Bunko J, an imprint of Media Factory, with illustrations by Chisato. The series was released in twelve volumes from December 2010 to January 2019. It was also adapted into a manga and an anime television series.

Throughout his career, Suzuki has consistently worked within the romantic comedy and harem genres, often focusing on stories that involve unconventional familial or cohabitation relationships. His works are typically published by major Japanese light novel imprints such as Fujimi Fantasia Bunko and MF Bunko J. In addition to his two most prominent series, his other published works include the series 1×10 藤宮十貴子は懐かない, Nīto Vuampaiya Egō, Hatoko to Boku no Rabu Kome, Kanpeki na Rabu Kome, and Tashika ni Kimi ga Suki ni Naru Kotowa Nai Keredo, Boku wa Kimi ni Koi o Suru.
