Hisashi Izumi is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator born on August 9, 1962, in Odate City, Akita Prefecture. He is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Cooperative and has worked in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. Early in his career, he used the stage names Shoji Izumi and Wizumi.

Izumi's path to voice acting began after he struggled to find work as a stage actor following his graduation from the Yokohama Broadcasting Film College. He took on various jobs, including performing in character suits for children's shows, before a connection in the industry led to his voice acting debut in the 1990s. His vocal range is classified as a high baritone, which allows him to portray a wide variety of characters, from comedic announcers to mysterious elders.

His extensive anime career includes roles in numerous prominent series. He voiced a referee in Hajime no Ippo and J-Five in Transformers: Car Robots. Other notable anime credits include roles in Cardcaptor Sakura, Hunter × Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Samurai Champloo, and Ace Attorney. In the 2022 series BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-, he provides the voice for the character Geo Noto Soto. He also voiced Kengo Kagemori in the 2006 television anime Guardian Ninja Mamoru.

Beyond anime, Izumi's work extends to video games, where he has voiced characters in franchises such as Mega Man, Ace Attorney, Dragon Quest Builders 2, and Final Fantasy XIV.
