Keiko Sakano

Keiko Sakano is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator. Her birth date is December 23. She has worked as an illustrator for light novels and provided character designs for video games, including the English otome games Ninja Love and My Sweet Prince from NTT Solmare.
Sakano is the writer and illustrator of the manga series Oni no Hanayome wa Taberaretai, also known as The Demon's Bride Wants to Be Eaten. This romantic comedy series began as a one-shot in Hakusensha's The Hana to Yume magazine on January 27, 2020. It later started serialization in the main Hana to Yume magazine on May 20, 2020. The series has been compiled into multiple tankōbon volumes. A two-episode original net animation adaptation of Oni no Hanayome wa Taberaretai was produced by the studio Magia and streamed on Hakusensha's YouTube channel in December 2021.
Beyond this series, Sakano has been involved in several other notable manga projects. She was the artist for Houshin shinai Engi, a manga that was serialized in Kadokawa's Asuka magazine from August 2015 to August 2018. She is also credited with the original character designs for the manga adaptation of the light novel series Fiancée of the Wizard (Mahō Tsukai no Konyakusha). This adaptation was drawn by Masaki Kazuka and ran on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website from August 2017 to January 2020. The English version of this manga was licensed by Yen Press.
In 2024, Sakano collaborated with author Mitsuru Yūki to launch a short-term series titled Mamorikatana no Uta -Mamorikatana no Ichimonji (Song of the Guardian Sword - The Straight Line of the Guardian Sword). The series began in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on April 19, 2024. The story is set in a capital city where humans and monsters coexist, following a protagonist named Uta who is tasked by her grandmother to find a specific clan amid a series of mysterious disappearances.
