Xavier Thiam is a French actor whose career encompasses work on stage, in film, and in voice acting. His training includes study at the Cours Florent from 1985 to 1986 under Francis Huster, followed by the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique from 1986 to 1989, where his teachers included Daniel Mesguich and Jean-Pierre Vincent. His extensive theatre work has included performances in productions of Cyrano de Bergerac, The Cherry Orchard, and The Taming of the Shrew, among many others. On screen, he has appeared in films such as L'heure zéro and Aliker, and in television series like Sauvetage.

In the field of voice acting, Thiam has contributed to the French dubs of various productions. He provided the French voice for the character Jin, the father of Mei, in the 2022 Pixar film Turning Red (Alerte rouge). He is also known for his role as the voice of Bill, a Bengali tiger and member of the drama club, in the French adaptation of the anime series Beastars. This voice work is part of a broader body of dubbing performances that adds to his established presence as a stage and screen actor.
