Haruka Mado

Description
Haruka Mado is a Japanese manga artist known for works including Chūko Video-Ya no Onna Tenin X. Born in Aomori Prefecture and raised in Akita Prefecture, Mado made a professional debut in 2011 with the short story Suzuki Hanako-chan no Senritsu, published in Weekly Shōnen Champion. The creator subsequently continued the Suzuki Hanako-chan series in an irregular serialization within the same magazine.

The notable work Chūko Video-Ya no Onna Tenin X, sometimes translated as Middle-used Video Store’s Female Clerk X, began with a one-shot appearance in Weekly Shōnen Champion in 2014 before transitioning to a full serialization on the web magazine Torch, published by Leed社, starting in August of the same year. This work later received an anime adaptation, for which Mado is credited as the original creator and also contributed the theme song lyrics.

In September 2015, Mado released the first collected volume, Zoku no Kinjitō, through Leed社. The following year, another serialization, Manga to Shite Arawareru de Arou Arayuru Koi no Tame no Prolegomena, began on the Torch web platform in March 2016.

Mado maintains a presence in the creative community through a personal website and social media, while also having a noted connection to Akita Prefecture, occasionally working part-time at an izakaya operated by a hometown friend.
