Tamami Katsura

Description
Tamami Katsura is a manga creator whose work is primarily associated with the adult romance genre. Katsura began serializing the manga Otona nya Koi no Shikata ga Wakaranee!, known in English as Adults Dunno How to Love!, on the ComicFesta website in May 2018, originally under the title Sex Gobusata, Sotsugyou Shimasu. This series became Katsura’s debut work and the foundation of their professional career. The manga is published in print by Suiseisha under their Clair TL Comics imprint, aimed at the josei demographic, and has seen multiple volumes released since its debut.

The success of the manga led to its adaptation into an anime television series in 2020. The adaptation, which is a short-form anime typical of the ComicFesta label, was directed by Yuki Shiina with scripts by Nora Mori and animation production by Ether Kitten. The anime aired in two versions: a censored on-air version and an uncensored premium version available for streaming, a common practice for the studio producing adult-oriented content. The story follows two adults, Mio Sudou and Shuuji Mashima, who have been disconnected from romance for years and discover an unexpected connection with each other.

Katsura’s work is noted for its focus on mature romantic relationships, exploring themes of intimacy and emotional connection between adults. The manga and its adaptation are characterized as an adult romance that prioritizes character-driven narratives about rediscovering love later in life, distinguishing it from works that are purely pornographic. The original manga was recognized early in its serialization, winning an award at Wave’s Monk Frame Competition in 2019, which accelerated its path to a print release and anime adaptation. This achievement marks a significant point in Katsura’s career, establishing them as a creator within the specialized market of adult-oriented romance anime and manga produced by companies like ComicFesta and Suiseisha.
