Akihiro Kimura is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, and character designer born on March 21, 1970, in Saitama Prefecture. He began his professional career in the video game industry, making his debut as a character designer for the personal computer game ZAVAS, which was released under Shogakukan’s POPCOM SOFT brand. His work on character design for games such as Emerald Dragon and the Alnam series established his reputation as a popular illustrator in the gaming field during the early part of his career.

His body of work spans manga serialization, novel illustration, and game production. Kimura has created manga adaptations of several video game franchises, including Super Robot Taisen OG -Divine Wars- and Lineage Saga - Successor to the Empire. He has also produced original manga titles such as Psycho Trader Chinami and Project ReMOVER. In addition to his manga work, he has contributed illustrations to novels published by imprints including Dengeki Bunko and Famitsu Bunko, as well as cover art and card illustrations for various games.

Kimura is credited as the original creator for the work Joshikōsei Nobunaga-chan, which was adapted as a short film and later serialized as a manga.
