Mitsuhisa Tamura
Description
Mitsuhisa Tamura, born July 17, 1980, is a Japanese manga author known for his work on several manga series, some of which have been adapted into anime. He resides in Kanagawa Prefecture and is married to fellow manga artist Chiyo Kenmotsu. Tamura began his professional career in 2004 after receiving an honorable mention in the Shonen Sunday Manga College contest in 2003 for his short story Haru no Ame.
Tamura is the author of the Pokémon RéBURST manga series. He is also known for co-authoring the BakéGyamon manga series, which was based on an original concept by Kazuhiro Fujita and published in North America by Viz Media under its VIZ Kids imprint.
Tamura is the creator of the manga adaptation of the Future Card Buddyfight franchise. The original Future Card Buddyfight manga was serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic from November 2013 to April 2018 and was published across eleven volumes. He also wrote and illustrated its sequel manga, Future Card Buddyfight Ace, also known as Future Card Shin Buddyfight. This series was serialized in Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic from May 2018 to February 2020 and was collected into four volumes.
