Maina Shimagata is a Japanese voice actress from Nagano Prefecture, born on May 26. Her blood type is O. She trained at the Seinenza Theater Company's research institute and passed the fourth Seiyu Awards Newcomer Discovery Audition in 2010. Her career began in 2010 with her debut role as Kotori Makino in the OVA Koe de Oshigoto!. In her early career, she was affiliated with Production A Group from April 2010, left in December 2011, and after a period as a freelance voice actor, joined Production Ace in June 2012. She left Production Ace to become a freelancer again in July 2023.

Shimagata is known for several key anime roles. In 2013, she played Seara August in the TV anime series I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job. That same year, she voiced Hinata Miyakawa in the web anime Miyakawa-ke no Kūfuku. Her other anime roles include minor parts in Golden Time, The Qwaser of Stigmata, and World Witches Series. She has also contributed to video game voice work, with credits including Jessica Slim in White Cat Project.

Beyond acting, Shimagata has experience hosting radio programs.
