Kinoko Yamada is a Japanese voice actress born on July 31, 1970, in Nara Prefecture. She began her career under the stage name Shihomi Mizowaki before changing her name to Kinoko Yamada. She is affiliated with the talent agency RME.
Yamada is best known for her long-standing role as the Digimon partner Palmon and its various evolutionary forms, including Tanemon, Togemon, and Lillymon, within the Digimon Adventure franchise. She first voiced the character in the original 1999 Digimon Adventure anime series and its sequel, Digimon Adventure 02, under her former name, Shihomi Mizowaki. She later reprised the role for the film Digimon Adventure: Bokura no War Game. When the franchise continued with the Digimon Adventure tri. film series, Yamada returned to voice Palmon, having since adopted her current stage name. She continued in the role for the 2020 reboot anime Digimon Adventure: and the film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, solidifying her as the definitive voice for the character across multiple continuities and eras of the series.
