Seigo Yokota

Seigo Yokota is a Japanese male voice actor from Niigata Prefecture, born on July 24. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Production Baobab, having previously been a member of the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. His path to voice acting was inspired by a childhood fondness for reading aloud and using different voices for characters during school lessons. In 2007, he began his formal training as part of the 31st class at the Haikyo Voice Actors Studio. His professional debut came in 2008 with a small role as a driver in the anime series Ga-Rei: Zero.

Yokota is perhaps best known for his long-running association with the Haikyuu!! franchise. He voices the character Taketora Yamamoto, a spiker for the Nekoma High School volleyball team. He first took on the role in the 2014 television anime and has continued to play Yamamoto across numerous后续 productions. These include the second season, the OVA Haikyu!! Land vs. Air, the fourth season Haikyu!! To The Top, the special Haikyū!! Lev Kenzan!, and the 2024 theatrical film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle. Within the same series, he also provides the voice for another character, Koji Sekimukai.

Beyond his signature role in Haikyuu!!, Yokota has built a career with a wide variety of supporting characters in numerous anime series. His television credits include roles in My Love Story!! as Momota, Wolf Girl & Black Prince as Ryota Aoki, Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time as Teacher B, and The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! as Reporter C. He has also had recurring parts in long-running series such as Crayon Shin-chan and Doraemon. His work extends to video games, where he has contributed voices for titles like Haikyu!! Cross Team Match! and Super Robot Wars UX. Additionally, he is active in dubbing foreign content, with credits including a role in the Japanese version of the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Yokota is described as having a high baritone voice, which allows him to portray a range of characters. His personal interests and skills include snowboarding and other winter sports, playing the alto saxophone, and gaming. He also holds a regular driver's license and has passed the English Proficiency Test Grade 3.
