Anjali Bhimani is an American actress with a diverse career spanning stage, television, film, and voice acting for video games and animation. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 30, 1974, she was raised in Orange County, California, and is a graduate of Northwestern University. Her career began in theatre, with a long-standing collaboration with director Mary Zimmerman that led to her Broadway debut in the play Metamorphoses in 2002. She has since accumulated numerous credits in live-action television, appearing in series such as The Sopranos, Modern Family, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the Marvel Studios series Ms. Marvel.

While Bhimani is widely recognized for her iconic video game roles, such as Symmetra in Overwatch and Rampart in Apex Legends, her work in animation and English-dubbed anime includes specific and notable performances. She voices the character Emeralda Zubin in the English version of the 2021 anime film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway. Within the Gundam franchise, Emeralda Zubin is a field agent for the anti-Earth Federation organization Mafty, and in the film, she is tasked with the dangerous mission of piloting a mobile suit to assist the protagonist, Hathaway Noa, in acquiring the Xi Gundam. In addition to this anime role, Bhimani has lent her voice to animated series, including the role of Head Cleric in the popular series The Legend of Vox Machina, which is based on the Critical Role actual-play campaign.

Bhimani has developed recurring creative collaborations, particularly within the actual-play and tabletop role-playing game community. She is a frequent guest star in productions by Critical Role, appearing in miniseries such as Undeadwood, Exandria Unlimited, and Candela Obscura. She has also worked with creator Brennan Lee Mulligan on the Dimension 20 series, playing Lady Amangeaux Epicée du Peche in The Ravening War. Her involvement in this sphere extends to producing; she co-created and produced the live-play series DesiQuest and launched her own production company, Bad Auntie Productions.

Among her notable achievements, Bhimani shared a Behind the Voice Actors Award for Best Vocal Ensemble in a Video Game for her work on Overwatch in 2016. Beyond performance, she is also an author, having published the book I Am Fun Size, and So Are YOU! in 2022, and has expanded into game design with the release of her Dungeons & Dragons adventure module, The Malady of Minarrh, in 2025.
