Taishi Nakagawa

Taishi Nakagawa is a Japanese actor and voice actor, born on June 14, 1998, in Tokyo, Japan. He began his entertainment career as a child actor in 2008 and is affiliated with the talent agency Stardust Promotion. While acting in live-action television dramas and films is his primary profession, he has also built a notable body of work in voice acting for animated features.
Nakagawa's debut as a voice actor came in 2015 when he was cast as Andrea in the animated film Eiga Chibi Maruko-chan: Italia kara Kita Shōnen, known in English as Chibi Maruko-chan: From Italy Comes the Boy. In this film, he provided the voice for an Italian boy who stays with the main character's family.
A significant role in his voice acting career followed in 2020 with the anime film Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. Nakagawa voiced the lead character, Tsuneo Suzukawa, a university student whose life changes after he meets a young woman in a wheelchair. This role is often cited as a key example of his voice acting work in anime.
Beyond these anime films, Nakagawa has also been active in dubbing foreign live-action films for the Japanese market. Notably, he took on the role of Sonic in the Japanese-language dub of the live-action/CGI Sonic the Hedgehog film series, starting with the first movie in 2020.
