Hotaru Nomoto is a Japanese actress and voice actor born on February 20, 1997, in Tokyo. She is affiliated with the agency Mitt Management. Nomoto began her career in the entertainment industry as a child actress in 2005, with early appearances in films such as Still Walking and Confessions.
Before transitioning to voice acting, Nomoto established herself in stage musicals. A significant milestone in her stage career came in 2016 when she was cast as Usagi Tsukino, also known as Sailor Moon, in the musicals Sailor Moon -Amour Eternal- and Sailor Moon -Le Mouvement Final-, becoming the sixth actress to portray the iconic role.
Her debut role as a voice actor was as Akira Yukishiro in the Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight multimedia franchise. This includes the original net animation series Shōjo☆Conto All Starlight and the mobile game Revue Starlight ReLive. Following her debut, she has become known for voicing Azusa Yokoyama in the Assault Lily franchise. Her voice work has also extended to stage play adaptations, such as her role as Okapi in a Kemono Friends stage play.
Nomoto has recurring collaborations with other actresses through her work in these franchises. She co-hosted a radio program titled Siegfeld Edel Radio with fellow Revue Starlight cast member Haruka Kudō, which began airing in January 2019. Her work in the Sailor Moon musicals also led to collaborations with Yume Takeuchi, Karin Takahashi, and Yuka Kobayashi, all of whom she later worked with again on various Revue Starlight projects.
