Greg Weisman

Description
Greg Weisman is an American writer, producer, and voice actor best known as the creator of acclaimed animated series such as Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Young Justice. While his primary career has been in writing and producing for Western animation, his involvement in anime has primarily been as a voice actor for English-language dubs, often on projects where he also served in other creative capacities such as voice director.

Weisman's most prominent and recurring anime voice role is that of the character Moutoku Sousou in the English adaptations of the Ikki Tousen series. He is credited with voicing the character across multiple installments of the franchise, including the original 2003 television series, Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor, Ikki Tousen: Extravaganza Epoch, and Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves. The character's name appears with minor spelling variations in different credits, such as Soso Motoku or Motoku Sousou, but all refer to the same role.

Beyond the Ikki Tousen franchise, Weisman's anime voice acting credits include a role in the English dub of the 1991 fantasy horror series 3x3 Eyes, where he voiced the character Hide. This project also saw him working behind the scenes as an ADR Director and Story Editor for the English version. He also provided voices for the English adaptation of the series Nazca.

Weisman's forays into anime voice work are part of a broader career that frequently sees him take on multiple roles in a production. His voice acting in Western animation is more extensive, with notable roles including Donald Menken in The Spectacular Spider-Man and Lucas Carr in Young Justice, series he also developed and produced. His work as a voice director on anime titles like 3x3 Eyes and the direct-to-video film Atlantis: Milo's Return further demonstrates his multifaceted contributions to the field of animated voice production.
