Aldo Barberito was an Italian actor and voice actor, active in film, television, and dubbing from the 1960s until his death in 1985. Born on May 7, 1925, in Zagarolo, near Rome, he built a career as a character actor, appearing in numerous Spaghetti Westerns and poliziotteschi crime films, while also becoming a familiar voice in Italian animated series for children.

Barberito's voice acting career was extensive and touched on many of the most beloved animated series imported to Italy during the 1970s and early 1980s. He provided the Italian voice for iconic characters such as Dick Dastardly in Wacky Races and its spin-off Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, as well as Fred Flintstone in The Flintstones. In the world of anime, he was particularly active, lending his voice to a wide range of characters. He was the voice of Alvar di Flake in the series Vicke the Little Viking and Frank in the Kaibutsu-kun franchise, including both the TV series Carletto il principe dei mostri and the film Kaibutsu-kun: Demon no Ken. He voiced Geppetto in Kashi no Ki Mokku, known in Italy as Le nuove avventure di Pinocchio, as well as Callisto and Papà Torpedine in The Brave Frog.

His work was prominent in the mecha and adventure genres that defined Italian children's television of the era. Barberito voiced Hydargos in UFO Robot Goldrake (Grendizer), Minister Hikima in Jeeg Robot d'acciaio, Lord Angoras and Lord Drayato in Il Grande Mazinga, and Ghibi in Mechander Robot. He also took on roles in series like Cyborg 009, L'invincibile Ninja Kamui, and Ryu, il ragazzo delle caverne.

In addition to his on-screen and voice acting, Barberito contributed to the dubbing industry in a directorial capacity. He served as the dubbing director for the Italian adaptation of the long-running fishing anime Sampei, also known as Tsurikichi Sampei, and for the Kaibutsu-kun television series. Aldo Barberito passed away in Rome on January 12, 1985, leaving behind a significant body of work in both Italian genre cinema and the world of animation dubbing.
