Riz Ahmed provided the English voice for the character Takai in the 2019 anime film Weathering With You. The English-language dubbed version of the film, directed by Makoto Shinkai, was produced by GKIDS and NYAV Post, with direction by Michael Sinterniklaas and Stephanie Sheh. Ahmed's involvement was part of an English voice cast that also included Lee Pace and Alison Brie. His filmography includes other voice acting roles in animated features, such as Ballister Boldheart in the 2023 Netflix film Nimona.
