Reinaldo Pimenta was a Brazilian voice actor, actor, writer, professor, and lawyer, recognized for his extensive work in dubbing for film, television, and animation. He was born in Rio de Janeiro on September 27, 1947. Before entering the arts, Pimenta pursued an academic and legal career, graduating in Letters from the Academia de Comércio do Rio de Janeiro and in Law from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. He worked for many years at the Central Bank of Brazil and Petrobras, and also taught grammar and prepared students for university and civil service exams.

Pimenta transitioned to a career in the performing arts in 1986, at the age of 40, working as an actor in theater and as a radio personality. He began his career in dubbing in 1994. Over nearly three decades, he became known for his voice work in numerous high-profile international productions. Some of his most notable roles include Kent Brockman in The Simpsons, Golpe Baixo in Everybody Hates Chris, Grampo in the Harry Potter film series, and the villain Palpatine in the Star Wars franchise.

While his career in anime began later, it was a significant part of his body of work. He provided the voice for Shibuta in the anime film Human Lost, confirming the user's example. His other prominent roles in Japanese animation included Denzel Liones in The Seven Deadly Sins and Wasuke Itadori, the grandfather of the protagonist, in Jujutsu Kaisen. In addition to his dubbing career, Pimenta was also a successful writer, publishing books including the well-received A Casa da Mãe Joana, which sold over 100,000 copies. Reinaldo Pimenta passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 76.
