Jonathan Leduc
Description
Jonathan Leduc is a Canadian actor and voice artist based in Quebec, primarily known for his work in the French dubbing of animated series and films for the Quebec market. A graduate of the Collège Lionel-Groulx in 2012, he began his professional career as a performer and writer with the creation company Les langues baladeuses, a role he held from 2012 to 2018. His career encompasses a range of disciplines, including stage performance, improvisation, video editing, and voice work, with a noted focus on voice-over and dubbing.
In the realm of animation dubbing, Leduc is most prominently recognized for his role as the voice of Magnus in the Quebec French versions of the Bakugan franchise. He first voiced the character in the 2018 series Bakugan: Battle Planet and continued in subsequent installments, including Bakugan: Armored Alliance and Bakugan: Evolutions. These productions, a collaboration between Japan, Canada, and the United States, were dubbed at Studio Difuze in Quebec, where Leduc worked alongside a regular cast of voice actors for the series, including Nicolas Poulin as Dan Kouzo and Gabriel Lessard as Shun Kazami.
Beyond his voice work in animation, Leduc has contributed to the dubbing of live-action productions, providing the French voice for actors such as Jon De Leon in the television series Coroner, Reiley McClendon in Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: The Disappearing Game, and Thomas Elms in The Fosters. His on-screen work includes a recurring role in the television series Indéfendable, as well as appearances in various commercials.
Leduc is also involved in creative projects beyond acting. He is the producer of the podcast Sous-sol & dragons, which combines tabletop role-playing games with narrative storytelling performed by professional actors. In 2024, he co-founded Création démo, a service dedicated to creating demonstration reels for professional artists.
