Kentarō Takano is a Japanese voice actor from Ibaraki Prefecture, born on January 10. He is a graduate of the Rikkyo University Drama Research Group. For nine years, he was affiliated with the talent agency Vi-vo. Following the closure of Vi-vo on March 31, 2022, he became affiliated with Kenyu Office as of April 1, 2022, where he holds a position as a準所屬 (junior member).

His debut role was as Edmond Chandler in the 2018 Netflix original anime series Hero Mask, produced by Studio Pierrot. In this series, he voiced the character of Sergeant Edmond Chandler, the technical specialist for the SSC police unit. Following his debut, Takano has built a career through numerous supporting roles in television anime. His credits from 2022 and 2023 include appearances in major series such as Spy × Family, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, The Apothecary Diaries, and Tengoku Daimakyo. In 2024, his workload expanded with roles in several series, including Pokémon Horizons, My Hero Academia's seventh season, and New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. He has also contributed to the Japanese dubs of foreign animation, voicing Chen Bobei in the Japanese version of Scissor Seven and Jacques in the Japanese dub of Castlevania: Nocturne. Beyond animation, his work extends to video games, with roles in titles such as DAIROKU: AYAKASHIMORI, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, and Tokyo Debunker. His notable achievements include a consistent stream of voice work across various media since his debut, establishing himself as a working actor within the industry. His personal interests include rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling), cooking, and visiting standing soba noodle shops, and his special skill is kyudo (Japanese archery).
