Scott Williams
Description
Scott Williams is an American voice actor known for his work in English-language dubs of anime and video games, with a particularly long association with the Pokémon franchise. He began his voice acting career as an adult, with his first role in the Pokémon brand being the titular character Darkrai in the tenth Pokémon film, Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai. He would go on to reprise the role of Darkrai in several video games, including PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
His involvement with Pokémon expanded significantly during Pokémon the Series: Black & White, where he voiced notable characters such as Delbert, Tornadus, and a Throh belonging to a trainer named Montgomery. He continued to take on roles in subsequent series, later voicing Kiawe's grandfather in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. Beyond the anime, his voice can be heard as various Pokémon characters in related media.
Outside of the Pokémon world, Scott Williams has contributed to a variety of other notable anime dubs. He voiced the role of Toshiki Miyamizu in the critically acclaimed film Your Name. He also played Kōnosuke Kō Minoda, the kindly head chef at the Hananoyu Inn, in the film Okko's Inn. His work with NYAV Post, a prominent dubbing studio, includes the role of Herman Gould in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Burroughs in Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky. He also voiced a Husband in an episode of Aria The Natural.
His voice acting credits also extend to Western animation and live-action dubbing. He provided the voice for the character Baxter Stockman in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, a role he also voiced in related video games.
