Beginning her career as a child actor, she has performed in a range of productions, from preschool television to acclaimed animated features.

Kacmar's voice work includes several notable anime films. She voiced the lead role of Oriko Seki, known as Okko, in the 2018 English adaptation of the anime film Okko's Inn, a performance noted for being part of a cast where child characters were voiced by child actors. Her credits also include roles in other anime films such as the 2018 Academy Award-nominated Mirai, where she is credited as Mother (Girl) and for additional voices, and the 2012 film Zarafa, in which she voiced the character Traore. Additional anime voice roles from this period include the film Psychic School Wars and Mai Mai Miracle.

Beyond anime, Kacmar has built an extensive resume in animated television. She is recognized for voicing the character Koko on the Disney Jr. series Chuggington. In the preschool superhero series Batwheels, which premiered in 2022, she voices Bibi, the Batgirl Cycle. Her other television work includes a voice role in the 2022 series Pretzel and the Puppies.

A recurring aspect of Kacmar's professional life is her collaboration with her mother, veteran voice actress Erica Schroeder, who is known for her extensive work in franchises such as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!. This family connection led to them performing together in Okko's Inn, with Schroeder voicing the character Torako Kise while Kacmar voiced the lead role of Okko. Many of her projects, including Okko's Inn and Batwheels, have involved production or ADR work by New York-based studios like NYAV Post.
