Matthias Klimsa is a German actor and voice actor born on 13 February 1971 in Osnabrück, Germany. His path to performance began with an education at the Guildford School of Acting near London, which he attended from 1992 to 1995. Following his training, he dedicated significant effort to theatre work in both England and Bremen before establishing himself in film and television. He has been active as a voice actor since 1982, building a substantial body of work that includes over 248 documented speaking roles. Klimsa is based in Hamburg.

In the realm of anime and animation, Klimsa is recognized for his contributions to German dubs. He voiced the character Murr in the German-language version of the anime series The Case Study of Vanitas. His work on this series extended beyond a single role, as he also served as the dialogue director for the German adaptation produced at the DMT - Digital Media Technologie GmbH studio in Hamburg. In the same year, he took on the voice role of the Demon King Meliodas in the fourth season of The Seven Deadly Sins. He also directed the German dialogue for another anime series, The Dungeon of Black Company.
