Valshe

Description
Valshe is a Japanese singer, lyricist, and voice actor known for her distinctive, gender-neutral vocal quality. Born on September 15, 1986, in Tokyo, she began her career in 2009 as a cover singer on the video-sharing platform Niconico under the name Barushe, gaining popularity for her covers of Vocaloid songs. In September 2010, she changed her stage name to the Latin alphabet spelling Valshe and made her major label debut with the mini-album storyteller. Her voice is often described as a husky female mezzo-soprano that resembles a young male, leading to her being classified as a ryōseirui or "both voice types" artist.

While Valshe's primary career is in music, with numerous single and album releases, she has expanded her activities to include voice acting. Her voice acting debut came in 2014 when she voiced the character Himi Kuto in the media mix project WRITERZ. She subsequently took on the role of Tsukuyomi in the Nintendo 3DS game Fire Emblem if, later reprising the role in the smartphone game Fire Emblem Heroes.

A notable and recurring role in Valshe's voice acting career is that of Hattori Hanzo in the anime series Ninja Girl & Samurai Master (Nobunaga no Shinobi). She was cast as Hattori Hanzo starting with the first season of the anime in 2016 and continued to voice the character in its second and third seasons. Her involvement with the series extended beyond acting, as she also performed theme music for it. She performed the second opening theme song for the first season and the second opening theme, Tsuisō no Kotowari, for the third season.

In addition to her work in animation and games, Valshe has also appeared as an actor in stage productions, marking her stage debut in 2019 as Emilio in the play Piofiore no Banshō: Unmei no Shirayuri. She continues to be active across music, voice acting, and stage performance, with much of her work being self-produced.
