He studied at the National Theatre School of Canada and began his screen career in the late 1990s, building a foundation with guest roles in numerous television series filmed in Toronto. His on-screen appearances include recurring roles in popular shows such as Eureka, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Slasher, and The Strain.

In the realm of voice acting, Jacot has contributed to a variety of animated series and video games. He is recognized for providing the voice of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in the animated series Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, a role he performed for 26 episodes.
