Daromeon

Description
Daromeon is a Japanese manga artist known primarily as the illustrator for the martial arts series Kengan Ashura and its sequel, Kengan Omega. His professional name is an anagram of Doraemon, the iconic robotic cat character from the long-running manga and anime franchise.

Daromeon serves as the artist for the Kengan series, working in collaboration with writer Yabako Sandrovich. The original Kengan Ashura manga was serialized on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday website and MangaONE app from April 2012 to August 2018, with its chapters collected into 27 tankōbon volumes. A sequel series, Kengan Omega, began serialization in January 2019 and is ongoing.

Beyond his illustration work on the manga, Daromeon is credited as an original creator for the various anime adaptations of the series. This includes the original net animation (ONA) adaptation of Kengan Ashura, which premiered on Netflix in 2019 and continued with subsequent seasons through 2024. He is also credited for the crossover anime film Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura, released on Netflix in June 2024, where he is listed for the original character design and as the manga artist of the source material.

Prior to his work on the Kengan series, Daromeon worked on the series Ketchup Ninja and designed a game titled Oneachanchan using 2D Fighter Maker engine. He lived in the United States for 14 years and is a graduate of an art university. He also has eight years of experience working as a manga artist’s assistant.
