Ghost Mikawa is a Japanese light novel author, manga writer, and screenwriter known for creating several notable romantic comedy and fantasy series that have been adapted into manga and anime. Born in 1988 and hailing from Saitama Prefecture, Mikawa made their professional writing debut in 2012, winning the 18th Dengeki Grand Prize for the debut novel Wizards & Warriors with Money.

Mikawa is best recognized for two major properties that have seen extensive multimedia development. The first is the light novel series My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!, which began publication under the GA Bunko imprint in April 2019 with illustrations by tomari. The romantic comedy series follows Akiteru Ooboshi and his complicated relationship with his best friend’s sister, Iroha. The work received a manga adaptation illustrated by Hira Hiraoka and an anime television series adaptation that premiered in October 2025, with Kazuomi Koga directing at BLADE and Tōko Machida handling series scripts.

The second cornerstone of Mikawa's bibliography is Days with My Stepsister, a mixed-media project that originated as a YouTube channel in April 2020 before being adapted into a light novel series. The story focuses on Yuuta Asamura and Saki Ayase, two high school students who become stepsiblings and gradually develop a relationship while maintaining a careful distance. The light novel series, illustrated by Hiten, began publication under Media Factory's MF Bunko J imprint in January 2021 and had released eleven volumes by July 2024. A manga adaptation illustrated by Yumika Kanade began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace Plus in July 2021. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Deen and directed by Takehiro Ueno premiered in July 2024.

Beyond these prominent works, Mikawa has authored a diverse range of light novel series, including The Self-Proclaimed F-Ranked Brother Reigns at the Top of the Academy Evaluated in a Game, If You Were the Ideal Daughter, Would You Still Like Her Even If She Was the Strongest in the World, and Monsterholic. Mikawa has also contributed as a scenario writer for visual novels, including the 2022 game The Shark and the Seven Days of Love and CUBE titles such as Kimi no Yō na Kamisama e and its extended edition.

Mikawa maintains a dual career as both a novelist and an animation screenwriter, notably handling screenplay work for the Dia Horizon project. This involvement in both original writing and scriptwriting for adaptations and other animated works demonstrates a versatility within the industry that extends beyond traditional light novel authorship. The creator's body of work spans both light romantic comedy and darker fantasy genres, showing a range in storytelling approach while maintaining consistent involvement in the development of multimedia franchises.
