Yuto Yotsuba
Description
Yuto Yotsuba is a Japanese manga writer and illustrator, primarily known as the original creator of the manga series Paripi Kōmei (also known as Ya Boy Kongming!). The series, which began serialization in December 2019 on Kodansha's Comic Days website and later in Weekly Young Magazine, is written by Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryō Ogawa. The story follows the ancient Chinese military strategist Zhuge Liang Kongming, who is reincarnated in modern-day Japan and uses his tactical genius to help an aspiring singer achieve stardom.
The success of the Paripi Kōmei manga led to its adaptation into a television anime, which premiered in April 2022. A compilation film for the anime series, titled Paripi Kōmei Road to Summer Sonia, was released in Japanese theaters in March 2024. The franchise also expanded into a live-action television drama series in September 2023, followed by a live-action film in April 2025.
Beyond Paripi Kōmei, Yuto Yotsuba launched a new manga series in August 2025 titled Tōkyō Kinoko ~Sekai Ranking 1-i no Komyuryoku Saijaku JK~ (Tokyo Kinoko ~The High School Girl Ranked #1 in Weakest Social Skills World Leaderboard~), serialized on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website. The story is set in a modern Tokyo where elements of a fantasy world have begun to encroach, and follows a shy high school girl who is ranked number one in the world in an unknown category.
