Gamu is the original creator of the manga series Africa no Salaryman. The manga is a comedy that was serialized online through the pixiv Comic website starting in December 2014. It follows a lion, a toucan, and a lizard navigating the routines of corporate office life in Japan while dealing with their unique circumstances as animals. The series was published in print by Media Factory, which compiled the chapters into four tankōbon volumes.

The property has been adapted into anime on two separate occasions. An original net animation was streamed on the Tate Anime application from Production I.G between June 5 and June 30, 2017. A television anime series adaptation was later produced by the studio Hotzipang and aired from October 6 to December 22, 2019, with Tetsuya Tatamitani directing and Yūichirō Momose handling series composition.
