Lion Kako is the stage name of Rion Kako, a Japanese voice actor and actor born in Tokyo on September 23, 1980. He is affiliated with the talent management firms Spacenoid Company and Func A ScamperS 009. Kako comes from a family with a strong artistic background; his grandfather was the painter and fashion designer Junichi Nakahara, his grandmother was former Takarazuka Revue star Kuniko Ashihara, and his father is the composer and pianist Takashi Kako.
Kako's career in animation includes a wide range of supporting roles across numerous television series and films. His film credits include a part in the acclaimed 2007 film 5 Centimeters Per Second and the role of Shuji in the 2016 short film Kacchikenee.
