Ann Giraldo
Description
Ann Giraldo is a Peruvian translator and voice dubbing actress known for her work in Latin American Spanish dubbing productions. She is a graduate of translation and interpretation from the Universidad Ricardo Palma in Peru. Her career in dubbing began around 2016, initially sparked by an interest in fan dubbing she discovered on YouTube, which eventually led her to pursue professional training through courses and workshops conducted by visiting Mexican dubbing actors.
Giraldo's professional voice work includes providing the voice for the character Josie in the animated film The Great Adventure of Gamba (released in some regions as Air Bound), a project for which she was also responsible for the translation and adaptation of the script. Another notable role includes voicing a character named Zorrito in the 2023 film Milagros: Una osa extraordinaria. She has also participated in what is cited as Peru's first animated series, Ciudad Jardín.
Beyond her work as a performer, Giraldo is the founder of JackStudios Perú, a company offering voice-over and dubbing services. The studio also conducts dubbing workshops aimed at training new voice talent and establishing Peru as a competitive option for the Latin American dubbing market. Her combined expertise as both a translator and actress provides her with a unique perspective on the technical demands of dubbing, which requires careful attention to script synchronization, rhythm, and phrasing in the target language.
